JBI COnNECT Guidance

The Federative Republic of Brazil is the fifth largest and the fifth most populous country in the world. Brazil has a government managed national health care system. Evidence-based healthcare is promoted and supported in Brazil.

There is a Brazillian Cochrane Centre. Brazil has national access to the Cochrane Library as do all institutions of Latin America and Caribbean countries as part of an agreement signed by BRIEME (Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde) and PAHO (Organizacion Panamericana de la Salud).

Currently, there are two JBI members in Brazil and strong interest in establishing a collaborating centre in Sao Paulo.

This JBI COnNECT Brazil site links members in Brazil to the Joanna Briggs Institute Clinical Online Network of Evidence for Care and Therapeutics (JBI COnNECT). JBI COnNECT is a website that provides health professionals with easy access to resources so that they can find and use evidence to inform clinical decision-making. Subscribers to JBI COnNECT can access, appraise and use evidence. The resources contained in JBI COnNECT are targeted at a wide range of health professionals and lay caregivers nd are designed to promote evidence informed decision-making. Individual organisations can subscribe to JBI COnNECT and you may do so by clicking here.

Over half the world's population already has access to the Cochrane library and there are JBI members in over 90 countries who have access to JBI.

Make your voice heard on this important matter and sign online to show your support for your Federal Government to fund your country as an associate of the Joanna Briggs Institute. - click here to sign the e-petition for the Joanna Briggs Institute All-of-Country Membership - Brazil.
